My TV show's been cancelled?!! Fight for a 5th season or Boxed Sets of KP! http://www.fightforkp.com Next Save Kim Possible Day is Wednesday November 7, 2007 http://www.fightforkp.com High School Musical 2 Caps Online (Please Note New Location) http://caps.saveourshows.org/HSM2/index.php We've all felt that from time to time. You wonder how it happened, and you swear that if only network management knew how much it meant to fans, they surely wouldn't cancel it. Until recently, you just had to accept it - there was nothing you could do. Those feelings have changed recently, however. With one show, fans were able to tell management that they just couldn't let it go. Prompted by a huge outpouring of letters, email and petitions, they reviewed the ratings and recanted. One TV show broke the mold. On November 29, 2006, The Disney Channel announced that it was bringing Kim Possible back to life with for a fourth season of 22 new episodes. When those new episodes began airing on February 10, 2007, fans were vindicated - at least for that one show. Kim Possible is an animated Disney Channel Original Series which debuted in June 2002. The show revolves around the namesake character, Kim Possible, a high school cheerleader that saves the world from villains while fighting the foibles of high school. Through concentrated efforts of SaveDisneyShows.org and the Yahoo Group, Mission Kim Possible, Disney heard from fans. Email, letter and petition campaigns were staged every couple of weeks. Disney couldn't ignore the fans and after months of persistence our mission was accomplished. Well that's nice, but... While I'm sure you'd like to celebrate this accomplishment, you're thinking, "So what? Doesn't help me any...", "...besides, that's a just a kid's cartoon..." SaveOurShows.org was formed from members of the Kim Possible movement that were instrumental in planning and implementing the periodic Save KP Days that got Disney's attention, and we believe that we can help you reach people in other networks too. Whether 'your' show aired on ABC, CBC, NBC, Liftetime, WB, or any other network, we believe our techniques and experiences can be a valuable tool for you. Within this site, you'll find links to other TV shows past and present that are on their own quest to have 'the network' consider renewing their show. SaveOurShows.org hosts a chat room, email lists, a forum and any advice and support it can to help you tell them exactly how you feel. Take a look at the site. Browse the forums. Plan a chat (we can help with that). And find out which other shows are already headed for cancellation. What we are SaveOurShows.org was created to help you. We are developing links between fan sites and we want to share our experiences. "Anything is possible for a Possible." That's not just a show quote, that's what we believe. SaveOurShows is your SOS Our symbol is a life ring, and our mission is to give life to TV shows past and present. As our site grows, more and more nautical terms will be added. We soon hope to 'harbor' many other 'save the show' sites providing a compass through choppy water. If you are completely lost, we'll help you find some maps. If you need a safe place to dock, you'e welcome. If you need to know what currents to avoid, we'll help you navigate. SaveOurShows.org is a fan site, by fans for fans. It is of great use to the sailor to know the length of his line, though he cannot with it fathom all the depths of the ocean. |
