What is the TV antenna for worse .. best reception without cable?
My son lives in Chippewa Lake, Oh, and almost no TV reception. It has a large television. In order to connect the new converter boxes, it must operate your TV VCR, then connect the converter to your VCR. Almost no signal and displays so I bought a smart antenna to be included in the converter box instead of using rabbit ears. He said he still has not been received. There are approximately 25 miles from the nearest tower and surrounded by many trees and recommended that he submit to an external antenna. It's so confusing with the new Digital TV coming in February really want to know what type of outdoor antenna would be good to become capable of emerging from the converter box as appropriate. I really do not want to create another bill and sign for the cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The fact that you say that almost no TV reception, I suppose it is for current analog signals. If it is appropriate, then it will be even harder for digital signal, although 25 miles is not far. I think you can forget to use an internal antenna. You will need a high-gain antenna outdoors with a preamplifier is very high in the direction of the TV transmission towers.
